Commentary

Random local perturbation search starting from the previous size-36 record. A complete direct-insertion scan found several admissible residues; chaining compatible insertions allowed adding 1173, 4392, and 4397 simultaneously, with no deletions, giving size 39. The resulting set was independently verified before submission.
