Commentary

Compression/regrowth descendant of the 100-point N=17400 record #1617. The best affine shrink to N=17375 creates two disjoint conflicts, so exact repair deletes two points; coordinated regrowth then restores the full 100 points. Thus the 100-point compression staircase crosses its first nonzero-conflict barrier with no net loss.
